GIPS Parents' Association
The GIPS Parents' Association works in partnership with the school to continually improve the overall well-being of our students. We aim to organise activities which promote social interaction between teachers, families and the wider community. The Parents' Association is a sub-committee of the GIPS School Council. Membership of the Association is open to all parents and guardians of students at the school.School Uniform
All students attending GIPS are expected to wear the Glen Iris Primary School uniform. Our uniform shop is located on the school campus and is open every Monday morning from 8.30 am until 10.00 am and every Friday afternoon from 3.00 pm until 4.00 pm. As we are a Sunsmart School, students are expected to wear a broad brimmed hat from the beginning of September until the end of April.
Second Hand Uniform is also available and is located in the Canteen area. Volunteer parents are able to assist with uniform selection when the Second Hand Shop opens on a Monday morning before school and on Friday afternoons at 3.15 pm.
Before and After School Care
Before and After School care is operated by Camp Australia on a user pay basis at the school. This service operates from 7.15 a.m. until 8.45 a.m. and from 3.30 p.m. until 6.30 p.m. daily. It is also available on Curriculum Days and during the School Holidays operating from a neighbouring school. The program has an enthusiastic staff and offers a range of exciting and stimulating activities.
