Prep Enrolment for 2021

At Glen Iris Primary School, we understand that choosing a school which will give your child the best start to their education journey is a big decision.
We endeavour to ensure that every child makes a successful transition to Primary School and that it is a trouble-free and happy experience.
Parent participation and involvement is actively encouraged and appreciated and we welcome the opportunity to show you what Glen Iris Primary School has to offer you and your child. 

There are five main ways to find out what GIPS has to offer your child:

1.   At our Prep 2021 Open Day

  • Date to be confirmed. 

  • School Tours run between 9.30 - 10.30am and 2.00 - 3.00pm.

  • Visit our school in action, meet current students and parents, and chat with our Principal, Garry Collins.

2.   Through our 2021 Prep Information Evening

  • Date to be confirmed.
    7.00pm - 8.00pm in the Library

  • All prospective parents are invited to attend the Information Evening, to hear about the school's programs, meet the current Prep teaching team, and learn about all aspects of education at Glen Iris Primary School.

3.   During a general School Tour

4.    By booking a personalised school tour with our Principal, Garry Collins

5.   By bringing your child to Preschool Storytime                          
Our Preschool Storytime transition program is an informal opportunity to familiarise parents and children with our school environment and facilities. Pre-school children visit the library with a parent, read a book and do an activity. Dates for 2020 Story Time sessions can be found here

IMMUNISATION HISTORY STATEMENTS
Please note that as of 28 February 2018, an Immunisation History Statement from the Australian Immunisation Register will be the only form of documentation accepted as proof of a child's immunisation status.
Without a statement showing completed immunisation, your child will not be able to be enrolled in school.
Documents provided by GPs or other immunisation providers will no longer be sufficient as a form of evidence.
Medicare will usually automatically send you an Immunisation History Statement when your child turns 5.
